I grew up on a cattle farm in remote Needmore, Arkansas. After receiving my BS degree in Computer Science from Arkansas Tech University, I moved to the Washington, D.C. suburbs were I wrote real estate management software for Fairfax County Government. I relocated to Orlando, Florida in 1997 and currently work for a world-wide corporation writing credit card transaction software.
Always artistic, I discovered watercolors in 2005. Using my self-taught technique, I focus on pet portraits, but my work includes a vast array of subjects created from photographs. My donated paintings are raffled off each year at the Turkey Track Bluegrass Festival in Waldron, Arkansas to raise money for cancer research in memory of my mother and a childhood friend. I have also donated my paintings to the United Way, Homeward Bound pet rescue organization, and the Florida Writers Association.
I am also a member of the Florida Writers Association. I am writing a series of science fiction/fantasy novels.
